In a sign that the stakes in the U.S.-led anti-terrorism campaign have been raised, British media reported Friday that bin Laden and his al-Qaida network have acquired nuclear materials illegally from Pakistan.
The London Times newspaper and Channel Four television news quoted Western intelligence sources as saying, however, that bin Laden and al-Qaida do not yet have the technology to make a nuclear bomb.
But Pakistan scoffed at the reports. “Our nuclear materials are in very safe hands. These are absurd allegations,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Riaz Mohammad Khan said.
But U.S. officials said Friday that they are concerned — even though they have no proof — that bin Laden may have obtained nuclear waste, radioactive medical waste or concentrated uranium ore. The material could not be used to make a nuclear weapon, but, if combined with conventional explosives, the blast could spread deadly radiation and contaminate the surrounding area for years.

ya know, if it is THAT damned important that you talk on a cell while you're driving, can't you have the fucking DECENCY to pull over to the shoulder and complete your business?!?! BOTH were because the insipid, inbred fuckers driving the other vehicles were TALKING ON THEIR CELL PHONES! and even after the near collisions, they CONTINUED TO TALK ON THE PHONE! JAYSUZ! what - a near death experience doesn't affect you morons!??!!? apparently not...... me, i'd rather chose the mode of my death (with my hands shoved in the casing of a pc would probably be my preferred method) and it won't be at the hands of some pusilanimous piece of SHIT who thinks they have some god-given right to put everyone around them in danger! second bitch about phones - (and this gripes me just as bad) - people who walk around wherever they go using that STUPID two-way function on the current generations of cell phones! nothing life threatening about it - it's just plain RUDE.... listen - i couldn't give a shit LESS how your uncle betty is doing after the sex change operation....... or how your little snot factory did in his latest soccer game..... okay, it looks as if they're baaaaaaaaaaack....... our friendly neighborhood terrorists, that is..... well, at least that's the popular theory right now - if you haven't heard, apparently on a Greyhound bus earlier today, a passenger attacked the driver and the bus crashed killing six..... NOW i can't think of a single reason that a passenger would just randomly attack a bus driver...... unless dude just didn't care if he died and figured fuggit......and there are much better and quicker ways to kill oneself... of course, greyhound has stopped all busses nationwide for the moment...... so IF (and that's a BIG if) this guy (he WAS carrying a Croatian passport, after all) IS terrorist related, this could get real ugly..... what're ya gonna do? intensify the security checks to board buses??!! i think not, skippy..... let's face facts - greyhound buses are the last stronghold of the coward (but i'm AFRAID to fly!), actors/actresses who will probably end up in the porn or prostitution industry (gimme a one way ticket to hollywood - i'm going to be a star!!!....[and then harsh reality sets in]) and people of that ilk.... now, i'm not talkin' buses in general - just the nationwide bus thang.... sigh..... you realize we're NEVER going to learn to get along and this is all just a downward spiral, right? again though, that's just my opinion and one which i fervently HOPE is wrong... but i know better.... humans are a virus...... we taint everything we touch. OH and by the way, for those of you walking around saying "but we couldn't have had any idea they would go to these lengths!" in reference to the 9/11 attacks - BULLSHIT. Read This and be enlightened, my children.... we should've seen something like this coming MILES down the road..... we might not have been able to stop those particular flights but if we had airport security that was worth a shit when it was important, it might have been prevented. again, just my opinion.

and i give you the ULTIMATE in geek - if you've never heard of the wikipedia, you should try it..... think of it as a grand human experiment.... an online encyclopedia created entirely and edited entirely by users..... yes, you get some shite in there occasionally, but inevitably someone intelligent comes along soon enough and fixes it... to be honest, i've only seen 2 screwed up entries so far and they were both edited correctly within hours...... and you'll find the link to it over there on the left side of the page.... can't miss it.... unless you're a moron...... and there DO seem to be quite a few of those running around nowadays..... where was i... i have to laugh. i don't have a choice. like someone once said (and who exactly said it is
now lost to the annals of chemical bliss), "Ya get over it or ya eat a bullet.". what
started out looking like a very simple "they attack us, let's attack them" moment in history
has now, with time, morphed into more of a "well, let's not rush into anything stupid..."
collective consciousness. i'll be the first to admit, in the beginning i was as gungho as
the next red blooded, "you can't do that in my country!" American..... we gotta blow 'em up.
That simple. We gotta. and i consider myself one of the minority who was smart enough to
realize from the start "hey! wake up guys! this happens all over the world every damn day!
we just got lucky before now!"...... that notwithstanding, i felt we had to nuke the SHIT
outta somebody for this one......... in retro, it becomes clear.... we're damned. period.
damned if we do and damned if we don't.... if we go after bin laden and miss, we look like
the big dumb westerners screwing things up again in our big iron boots of dread...... if we
go after bin laden and get him, we're the big, bad, pushy assholes from across the sea who
think they can push anyone around..... oh, nobody'll say it out loud..... but if you don't
think every mid-size to small size country will be thinking that in the back of their minds,
you're fooling yourself...... and the worst case scenario - we do nothing... we use
"ECONOMIC SANCTIONS" (god what a waste of time and it must've been the invention of some
INBREED in governmental middle management because face facts, economic sanctions DON'T HURT
ANYONE but the innocent... the people you're trying to affect are too high up the food chain
to be touched by your simple, bullying actions! the innocent suffer, asshole! remember - the
rich get richer, the poor get poorer. simple fact of life, overall. there are a few
exceptions. but they're exceptions, not the norm. but i digress.) .... if we do nothing,
then they know they can keep slapping us around without fear of consequences and that's the
worst possible scenario...... no, we're screwed, blued and tattooed whichever way we turn,
the way i see it..... we're all just gonna have to wake up now..... and join the rest of the
world...... because what we've just experienced is something most of the planet has been
dealing with for quite a while now...... we've all just led a REALLY protected life so far.
on a sidenote - pretty GODdamned sad to think that it took the deaths of almost 6000
Americans and a check from Ted Turner's own pocket to prompt our "government" to catch up
our United Nations dues for the LAST FEW YEARS! (and this has nothing to do with Democrat or
Republican - they both come out smelling like shit in this stew) what the hell is this?! we
support the organization when we need their backing to kick the shit out of somebody but
otherwise, screw 'em??? uh, i don't think that's how the game is supposed to be played, you
washington pricks. sigh..... humans.... we are definitely the most defiantly stupid species
on the planet....
