okay, so far i've cleaned half of my office (that's a major feat, believe me), i've cleaned half of the garage and thrown out a herbie full of crap..... i've alphabetized all ebay merchandise in storage...... i've read the complete run of issues 1 through 82 of savage dragon by erik larsen..... and all the other normal shit i do day to day... i.e. my ebay auctions, my weekly comic reading.... my non-stop editing,filing and compilation of angel, firefly, buffy and birds of prey episodes...... and still i can't help thinking i could be doing something more constructive..... sigh..... i'm gonna go work on that now..... be back later.....

do you like to bitch about your boss? do you enjoy griping about that "bitch who acts like a cat in heat" whom you're working with? do you blog? well then, have i got some great news for you! go read THIS ARTICLE..... i've been waiting on word about this case and i guess the results are in .... we're safe. the fact that the school had the power to do that to him for an online diary is just sick to begin with... the entire school board should be taken out, fired and promptly pimp-slapped. i've sworn for years i'll NEVER be one of "those" parents and always worried about whether i'd be able to keep to that........ well, i don't think there's even a remote possibility i'll ever be one of "those".... my mind can't even attempt to think that narrowly.... jesus. if you're a teacher and some kid in your class posts that you're a dick in his online blog, COPE. if you happen to be a boss and one of your employees keeps an online journal with an unflattering comment about you, COPE. get over it. criticism is a part of life. if you're skin is that tender, you're on the wrong planet, kids.

READING COMICS WITH THE DAUGHTER!!!! hehehehe..... see, when they start being able to read somewhat complex material, they can be real fun! oh hell, they're pretty much fun most of the time but i'll hold final judgement until i see her in the teen years..... but yup.... The Associated Press has reported that actor Jeffrey Jones (Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Beetlejuice, Amadeus) was arrested Thursday in Los Angeles on charges of using a minor for sex acts and possession of child pornography. Jones, 56, surrendered himself to Los Angeles police and was freed on $20,000 bail, according to police authorities, with an arraignment scheduled for November 21. L.A. authorities had begun investigating Jones last November after a minor came forward and "alleged criminal acts of a sexual nature," with a subsequent search of Jones's home revealing "numerous items of evidence." Both the L.A. Police and District Attorney's office refused to comment further, other than saying the alleged victim was a 17-year-old boy. Jones has been unavailable for comment. -- IMDb

oh my god. forgot it was tuesday. got my star wars II but it's gonna have to wait till wednesday night. tonight was buffy night. and oh what a buffy night it was. and here's your super-dvd bargain of the week - the 2 dvd set of star wars: attack of the clones for 9.99 at wal-mart... WOOOO!! how, you may ask? well, apparently toys r us printed 9.99 for the 2 dvd set in their sales circular and wal-mart is price matching.... BUT... and here's the catch... ya gotta ask them about it and get them to price change it. otherwise, you pay the 14.77 price. which is still a shit kickin' bargain but not as much as 9.99 is! hehehehehe. so don't say i never gave ya nuthin'. go - bargain hunt, my children!

oooohhhhhhhhh i am SOOO excited! star wars attack of the clones comes out on dvd tomorrow and geek that i am, i'll be watching it tomorrow night, of course..... but allow me to tone down the happiness for a moment and remind you all that as much as i enjoyed II, even a little jar-jar is like a little third-degree burn. nuff said.

know what's really fun? reconnecting with a musical group and their entire catalog.... godDAMN i love music. yea, yea, everybody loves music..... but i LOOOOOVE music... c'mon - it's what i've done for 15 years.... now i just deal with the pc end of it..... been a busy beaver for the past day doing mp3 dumps of entire discographies.... yesterday it was the electric light orchestra and queen..... going through the queen catalog now and JESUS freddy mercury was a lyrical genius, my children.... a lyrical GENIUS! and brian may and the boys were ungodly..... wow. forgot how much i love this shit...... and if yer not familiar with the queen catalog reissues from hollywood records, they REALLY are worth buying.... each new disc has at least one (and sometimes two) new remix of one of the older hits.... a MONSTROUS remix of the seven seas of rhye is playing now...... and this morning, i'll leave you with my two favorite lyrical lines from the departed mister mercury:

god. i just spent 1/2 hour cleaning all my batman statues (do i lead a rough life or WHAT?!?!) on the desk shelf and cleaning the shelf in preparation for the batman/justice league maquette i just broke down and preordered for dec 4th because if i don't order it now, i'll miss it when its released and i'll never pay full retail and for an 89 dollar statue, 58 bucks ain't bad..... sigh..... i hate spending money.... but i hate missing batman statues more. god love conscious stream of thought discourse....... see, i'm shaman and i'm an obsessive compulsive..... they SAY that admitting is half the battle..... which means, half the battle is won for me and i'm quite happy with a mexican standoff..... so i realize i'm obsessed but i continue onward with it.... got it? no? yes? maybe? doesn't matter anyway.... just means more damn stuff on the shelf that i'll gripe about until the next amazingly kool killer batman statue comes out.... sigh.... sucks being a slave to your obsession..... though i hear heroin's worse.......... though i don't see how heroin could be worse than THIS!!!! .... and that's just the desk shelf.... there are two shelves in a glass cabinet occupied by statues of joker, harley, batgirl, nightwing, etc etc... all numbered editions that i've obsessed over for years...... yea, but when i'm dead, think what the ebay auction on this stuff will look like!!! WOOOOO!!!

oh it's been SUCH a good movie and video viewing weekend! got to watch mister deeds goes to washington.... VERY VERY funny movie.... sandler plays the nicest guy in all of existence.... and those who know me know i'm not the biggest sandler fan in the world..... preceded that with a little sum of all fears....... wow. just...... wow. that's a scary movie, boys and girls. very good but very scary. nukes make me wanna pee. then FInally got to catch up on the third episode of birds of prey... damn you charlie steele... you were right..... sigh. as much as they keep dicking with the bat-continuity, it's turning into a good series. it ain't no FIREFLY! but good nonetheless. rewatched a couple of greg the bunny eps too.... damn that show should've stayed on..... all the good ones die..... and now i guess it's time for a little auction work.... damn, all the hyperlinking makes me tired.
