and SURE as shit, it's boring into my skull from all sides..... okay, i can accept the wife and daughter with the tree and the decorations yatta yatta... they really dig it and that's their thing... but EVERY where i turn.... for god's sake, quit putting christmas wreaths on the front grill of your car!!! i get a mental image of some bald yutz in a bmw running over a poor kid selling wreaths door to door and the wreath hanging off the grill is the only thing left and i just start giggling.... and it gets REAL hard to keep the car on the road.... so just stop it.... idjits...... damn. where was i..... and where's my tea.

and so now vacation countdown 2 begins..... 6 days till my next one hehehehehe..... nothing like having large sections of the end of the year free to vegetate.... of course, i do pay for it in the first half of the year when i don't take a vacation at all... i like to save 'em up for the end of the year... when i know xmas will be boring into my skull from all sides.....

now HERE'S some killer cool news!!! ah, mel back in the roll i prefer him..... and over in the 'ain't that kinda neat' department, frank lloyd wright ( ya gotta click the links, kids... ) and over in the 'uh oh .... he's gettin' his ire up again!' dept, it's the RETURN OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH!!! holy SHIT when are you people gonna get it straight - NO TOUCHY FEELY LITTLE BOYS!!!! godDAMNIT, is it THAT hard to remember?!?! sigh. again, i just don't get it. i "GET" more than i've probably ever gotten before at this point in life.... and i "GET" it a little more everyday, i like to think.... but some things weren't meant to be "GOT", i guess. christ that's confusing. not quite as confusing as dubya's REAL reason for pissing off EVERY major leader in the world in the past twelve months, but still. and no, i'm NOT counting tony blair. he's a suckup twit who's scared we'll wake up one day and show up on their doorstep with our REAL response to the boston tea party.

last thought - LOOK OUT! IT'S OUR EBAY OVERLORDS AND THE MAN MASQUERADING AS THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY!!! hehehehe. christ, people. it boils down to this - if george lucas wasn't such a pig headed snot monkey, he'd get off his bearded california hippy ass and release the goddamn star wars trilogy on dvd here instead of making me pop 75 bucks to order a set from overseas where some poor unfortunate sap is getting paid 75 cents a week working in a duplication factory churning out those dvds so if you want somebody to blame everytime you're faced with sally struthers fat ass on the set bitching about third world countries and the poor conditions, you can trace it ALL back to GEORGE LUCAS, baby!!! that's right! dammit. we live in WONderful times, my friends. we HAVE the technology and the ability to churn out dvds on command. i'm gonna give somebody a million dollar idea right now - there is NO reason the studios could not build an online system where one could go, look through a back catalog of older movie titles, pick one out, have it pressed and mailed to them for around 8-10 dollars plus shipping. NO reason in the world. the technology MORE than exists. I COULD DO IT if i had access to the films themselves! and the films people want that studios aren't releasing are smaller titles that will NEVER sell in big numbers therefore the studios will never invest the time and effort into putting them on dvd. omega man with charlton heston, for example. wb has been promising that title for over 4 years. they keep cancelling the date and pushing it out for no given reason. again, there is NO reason i shouldn't be able to go to wb.com, find omega man, order the dvd and get it in a few days via the mail system. let's face facts - wb issues omega man on dvd, they are NOT selling a million copies. hell, they're not selling 10,000 copies. i think i can safely say they'll sell about 8 or 9 thousand, max... that's just me though. is it really WORTH it to them to invest production studio time, money and effort into reissuing that on dvd? i don't think it'll be issued, hence the eternal "date to be announced". if it does, count me a happy man but i won't hold my breath. and i'm not asking for a special edition in dolby digital 5.1 with remastered video, etc etc ! i just want widescreen stereo. i'll be happy with that. again, why the studios aren't doing this is beyond me. idjits. (and i changed my mind, i'm not giving this idea away hehehe.... it's mine, copyrighted today, dammit.)
