now THIS is DAMNED brilliant!!!! [CLICK ME!!!] ..... for those of you who are blissfully unaware, there are HUNDREDS of thousands of landmines in various war-torn countries like Bosnia.... and who usually trips over these mines? kids.... and that sucks... (startin' to sound like a psa, aren't i?) well, sorry but it's one of the few causes i actually give a shit about.... imagine letting your 9 year old go out to play and hearing a big boom about ten minutes later. kinda scary, to say the least. if you'd like to become a little better informed on the topic, check out the International Campaign To Ban Landmines, Adopt-A-Minefield or check out Clear Landmines (where ALL you have to do is click on ONE banner and a sponsor will put up the funding to clear 21 cm (squared) of land... is clicking one banner THAT hard???). $3-$30 to buy a landmine and place it... but up to $1000 per mine to remove them....
