my observations on the sick, perverted existence we call ''life'' as it rolls inexorably onward. on a sidenote, this page is formatted for a 1024x768 display. anything less would be....... less.

it's amazing the things you can find out online. like when i went looking up some of my ancestors in germany.... oh my oh my.

Maria Xxxxxx was a guard at two concentration camps during the last year of World War II. She was born on May 11, 1906 in Essen, Germany. In 1944, she submitted an application to the camp office in Essen and they accepted her into the SS ranks. Eventually, she served as an Aufseherin in Buchenwald, and in its subcamp at Essen. In April, 1945, she walked out of the subcamp with the arrival of the US Army and was never tried for war crimes.

that's kind of disturbing. and interesting. and creepy.

i guess some stones ARE better left unturned.

(i wonder if she'll show up at the next family reunion. hmmmm.)

by the way - it's 39 days and counting cigarette free. but i still want one dammit.
