and the reason the last entry ended abruptly was that my attention was taken away by something else. god only knows what. i found that entry 2 days after the fact saved in draft mode. so i posted it. doesn't make much sense but..... so my life has now been taken over by guitar hero III.... WOW what a game.... i'm in love... can't get past that goddamn slayer song though!! i can score five stars on every song but that one... granted, i'm starting out on easy level. if i can just finish that one song, i'll move on and run through the game in medium, which adds a fret to the difficulty. again, KILLER game. i highly recommend it. plus the controller is compatible with guitar hero II for the 360. which means i've got another 70 some odd songs to play with. and that many more achievements to score! and we LOVE gamerscore points.... if you aren't familiar with the 360, i've just left you in a cloud of dust. eh, it happens. otherwise, i've been playing lots of madden 08 football. the super bowl is up next. i'll tackle that one tomorrow. if any spelling mistakes make it through, forgive me... i'm typing this after downing two quick shots of jameson's. my poison of choice. at least my alcohol poison of choice. three more days and back to work. BUT i've got a vacation the last week of december to look forward to. and who knows, maybe i'll have picked up GH II by then. the daughter is looking forward to that one because it apparently has lots of eighties music in it. did i mention that if i have to hear slayer's raining blood one more time i may kill myself? i've played it over thirty times trying to beat it. sigh. i HAVE to beat it. i can only score four stars out of five. but i want FIVE stars to complete the achievement. been a quiet day today besides the loud game playing. wife and daughter were at the in-laws for thanksgiving and i stayed here to do laundry and gaming. had some turkey when they brought home some leftovers. sigh. i REALLY had every intention of watching a movie tonight but as i look at the clock, i notice its 10:58 PM now and i really should be getting to bed. i'd prefer to not repeat last nights drunken guitar hero rampage. sidenote - it is NOT a good idea to guitar duel while under the influence. it's just not doable. to say i butchered the song would be grand understatement. alright, i'm getting a little loopier by the moment and i hear the daughter banging around upstairs and that's my cue to hit the hay. till tomorrow, people..............
